French Surfer Kyllian Guérin proves just how good Bulgari’s Aluminium Capri Editions look in the water

WorldTempus on Tour is always a magical time for photoshoots as we take the team out of the office to some glorious locations. For our latest edition to Greece, we had the pleasure of being joined by French Surfer Kyllian Guérin who graciously modelled Bulgari’s new Aluminium Capri Editions for us in the Aegean Sea, on our Solaris 60 boat, and around the pool of our villa. The more photos we took, the more we were to realise that these new models are the perfect choice for a Mediterranean vacation.

All the Watch Details

This summer, Bulgari is unveiling a selection of new limited editions of its Aluminium collection, a watch that was first released in 1998 and has made a phenomenal come-back. In addition, two new black-and-white chronograph versions, a white dial version, a “Match-Point” dark green model, the Italian brand is also revealing two limited Capri Editions – a Solotempo version (time and date), and a chronograph version, which celebrate the beauty of the fabled Italian island and its glistening blue waters.

Both are limited to 1000 pieces, have a water resistance of 100m, and come in an aluminium case (40mm for the Solotempo version and 41mm for the chronograph). The gradient blue dial goes from light blue at the top to dark blue at the bottom and features luminescent hands and indexes and a silvered seconds hand with a yellow tip.

Both editions come with a special case back engraving featuring Capri’s Faraglioni towering rock formations.

The Bulgari Aluminium Capri Chronograph is powered by the self-winding calibre B130 and features the start/stop and reset pushers in a traditional format on either side of the crown, while the Capri Solotempo model is fitted with the automatic movement, calibre B77, displaying the time and date. A rubber bracelet, bezel, and alumunium bracelet links allow for a comfortable fit on the wrist. The timepieces also come in a fun and practical aluminium and rubber presentation box that reflects the watches’ design.

Kyllian Guérin

Showing us just how good the Bulgari Aluminium Capri Editions looked in the water, we were joined by French surfer Kyllian Guérin who placed 3rd in the European Pro Junior championships in 2020, was Aquitaine Champion in 2021 and is currently trying out for the Olympic Games in Paris 2024.

Unfortunately for our photoshoots, there weren’t any waves in Greece to be able to appreciate his athletic talents, but we found plenty of opportunities to play around in the water and get some photographs of these watches in action. This up-and-coming surfer was the perfect athlete to model the watches, graciously getting up at sunrise for our photographers to catch him in the morning light and lending his hand raising the sails of our Solaris 60. After all, summer vacations are for all kinds of fun in and out of the water as Guérin proved so elegantly.
