Three new watches with bright, modern colours and an exclusive 99-piece limited edition with the charm of sunset tones.

Founded in 1777 by the master watchmaker Abraham-Louis Perrelet, the Swiss Maison Perrelet has always offered the possibility of wearing the most suitable watch for every occasion through its many collections.

Perfect for urban living, relaxing weekends or sporting activities, the Turbine Carbon range, launched in early 2023, is now enriched with four new models, including a limited edition. Iconic design, innovative materials that are comfortable to wear, attractive colour palettes and 100% in-house watchmaking DNA characterise these latest additions.

The Turbine Carbon Red, Yellow, Khaki and Sunset series, the latter limited to a total of 99 pieces, have been created to satisfy the most demanding watch lovers who wish to complete their outfits with exclusive and original timepieces that express their personality.

The case: an unmistakable design

All these new creations feature a high-tech, ergonomic round case measuring 44 mm in diameter and 13.82 mm in thickness. The case body is crafted from polycarbonate and carbon fibre that makes it light and comfortable on the wrist, while the flat bezel and case back are made of matt black PVD-coated stainless steel.

It is water-resistant to 10 atmospheres and the case band features the traditional vertical groove decoration and a prominent, easy-to-grip winding and time setting crown, adorned with the Maison's logo letter” P”.

As always, the case back is transparent and protected by an anti-reflective sapphire crystal, allowing connoisseurs to admire the finely refined mechanism and the dance of the openworked rotor embellished with the logo. The Turbine Carbon Sunset also bears the inscription “Limited Edition xx/99”.

The new Turbine Carbon iterations come with a black rubber-lined calf leather strap, secured by a folding clasp in black PVD steel, matching the hues of the lower-dials.

The limited-edition Turbine Sunset is an exception, featuring a more conventional black leather strap. These watches also come with an additional rubber strap and fastening tool.

The Turbine: an icon creating a unique and original style

Inspired by the aircraft propeller, the 12-blade turbine has become the signature feature of all the Turbine collections. Patented in 2009 and exclusive to Perrelet, this device has led to the development of a lower-dial that distinguishes each model in this line and gives it its own identity.  Each sub-dial is, in fact, unique, as it allows the Manufacture's designers to give free rein to their imagination by personalising it with an ever-changing range of decorative motifs. These patterns are revealed as the turbine rotates with the motion of the wrist. The faster the rotation, the more the space between the blades reveals illustrations, colours, engravings and more on this component.

The dial: excellent readability and intriguing colour combinations

The new Turbine Carbon timepieces feature a display, protected by a sapphire crystal glass, dominated by the black anodised aluminium turbine, whose rotation reveals the sub-dials’ ornamental themes.

The turbine itself is reproduced in black on a satin-finished plate in vibrant, sunny colours: red, yellow and the more classic khaki. For the limited edition, the black turbine is depicted on a disc in gradient shades of yellow, orange, red, purple and blue, evoking a fascinating sunset landscape.

As always, the large raised hour-markers and Arabic numerals on a black ring, filled with Super-LumiNova®, which glows in the dark, make the time easy to read.

Great attention has been paid to the colour combinations that endow the dials with a pleasing visual harmony and make these watches even more seductive.

The red and yellow versions have white indices and hands, while the khaki version favours beige. The red central seconds hand and the flange which echoes the star colour of each dial, give these new additions to the Turbine Carbon line a strong and appealing character.

Movement: automatic, 100% in-house manufacture and chronometer certified

The new iterations of the Turbine Carbon feature the same automatic movement that powers many of Perrelet's collections from 2019.

Designed and manufactured 100% in-house by Soprod, Perrelet’s sister company, the      P-331-MH calibre provides a 42-hour power reserve and its balance wheel operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz).

It is a movement of proven precision and reliability, certified by two prestigious independent institutions: the COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres) and Chronofiable® from Laboratoire Dubois of La Chaux-de-Fonds.  These creations are finished in accordance with the highest standards of Swiss watchmaking. The main plate with its colimaçon finish, the circular-grained bridges and the openworked, rhodium-plated and brushed oscillating weight bearing the Perrelet logo are just a few examples of the quest for excellence that goes into every timepiece. Precious decorations that can be admired through the transparent sapphire crystal case back.
