This model redefines the modern chronograph with a sophisticated movement and a signature Moser green dial twist

When H. Moser & Cie. introduced the Streamliner collection in 2020, it set for itself two clear and lofty objectives: to add a sporty model to its lineup of high horology timepieces and to redefine the ergonomics of the integrated steel bracelet.

The name and aesthetics of the Streamline Moderne, the Art Deco era style known for its sleek, aerodynamic designs, guided the style of Moser’s Streamliner collection which, in turn, has become a pivotal chapter in the brand’s evolution. Over the past decade, Moser has transitioned from under-the-radar to a prominent position in independent watchmaking, with points of sale from Asia and the Middle East to the Americas.

With the Streamliner Tourbillon Skeleton Double Hairspring and the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic, Moser has exceeded its own objectives, with a distinctive minimalism and contemporary elegance of a collection that seamlessly blends form and function. They also convey a more subtle message: that a distinctive pedigree, not a visible logo, defines the essence of a Moser timepiece.

A MESMERIZING VIEW OF MECHANICAL MASTERY

In this Streamliner model, a meticulous interplay of solid and void elements reveals the inner workings of the Tourbillon Skeleton Double Hairspring, introduced by Moser this year. The mesmerizing view of the hollowed-out barrel, openwork rotor, and precise beveling on the anthracite main plate and bridges, is visible, showcasing the watch’s mechanical mastery and meticulous finishing.

This is the second skeleton model in Moser’s catalogue, introduced after the Pioneer Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton had set in 2022, the foundations for Moser’s openwork vocabulary. Housed in a 40mm steel cushion case, water-resistant to 12 ATM, with a clear case back, this timepiece embodies a transparency that lets in the light and accentuates its flawless symmetry. There is no superfluous matter here. Moser has pushed the openwork aesthetics of this Streamliner to the limits of where symmetry converges with light and void.

Gravity is challenged with a one-minute flying tourbillon with a double hairspring that appears to float weightlessly at six o’clock. The automatic HMC 814 skeleton movement is equipped with a double hairspring designed and produced in-house by Moser’s sister company, Precision Engineering AG. The integrated steel bracelet, arched to follow the wrist’s line, features fluid lines based on organic forms in a fully integrated design with no lugs on the case to ensure wearability and superlative ergonomics.

A MODERN TWIST ON ELEGANT SPORTINESS

Last year, Moser celebrated the opening of two boutiques in China - in Hong Kong and Shanghai - with the launch of the Streamliner Flyback Chronograph Automatic Boutique Edition. This model redefines the modern chronograph with a sophisticated movement and a signature Moser green dial twist.

The automatic HMC 907 caliber, developed in collaboration with movement designer Agenhor, features central second and minute hands for easy elapsed time reading. It includes a flyback function for restarting the chronograph without the need for resetting. Along with a 72-hour power reserve, it showcases Moser’s distinctive finishing touches such as Moser stripes and a contemporary dark finish with its anthracite grey rhodium-plating.

Some of this model’s features are first-evers for the Streamliner line, like the 5N red gold case and the use of a rubber strap instead of an integrated bracelet, contributing to a fresh look that adds warm tones to a sporty model. The model is paired with a Matrix Green fumé dial, in a design with a vintage quality, accentuated with red and white tracks for measuring seconds and minutes, a prominent “60” at 12 o’clock, and hands designed for visibility. With contemporary finishing and horological craftsmanship, this timepiece offers the wearer the ultimate in functionality and wearability.
