I have to admit that dark green is not my all-time favourite colour. My school uniform was exactly the same hue and I think this may have something to do with it! Having said that; I am a huge Bulgari Aluminium fan and this new tennis-inspired timepiece brings an exciting new look to the sport chic collection. This new Green Match Edition comes with a dark green rubber bezel, matching rubber/aluminium Velcro® strap, and a left-hand crown, which I imagine is to allow you to play tennis with your right hand. Other details include a white dial with green luminescent hands and indexes, and a yellow luminescent tennis ball dot. It also comes in a tennis-ball-inspired case, which is super fun. Limited to 800 pieces, this piece will no doubt fly out of Bulgari boutiques faster than Roger Federer’s serve!

Watch photography has a lot in common with tennis. You’re thinking, Suzanne’s lost it. She’s had too much sun in Greece, and is now babbling incoherently. I strenuously beg to differ. Whilst my experience with racquets and squeaky white shoes is minimal, and the most I’ve ever handled a tennis ball is in slinging it across my childhood backyard for my dear departed Labrador Retriever Geoff, I have watched quite a bit of tennis in my time. Just like photographing a watch, I believe it’s about understanding angles and light, momentum and energy. It’s about judging the exact instant to take a shot. And at its most memorable, it’s about joy and exuberance in capturing a moment of infinite beauty. The Bulgari Aluminium Match Point Edition isn’t a complicated watch. It doesn’t have to be. You’ll understand when you put it on and it makes you feel on top of the world, like a champion.

Sports watch par excellence, the Bulgari Aluminium reveals itself to be the perfect companion for a mini-break on the Greek coast. From the crystal-clear waters of the beach to the verdant hills, via the urban streets of the city, this light aluminium-cased watch with its rubber strap (made for comfort) is made to sit on your wrist all throughout the summer, no matter the activities you might undertake. Limited to 800 pieces, this green version of the Aluminium is particularly well suited to a tennis match on the shores of the Aegean Sea.

Its back, engraved with a tennis ball, leaves no doubt as to the inspiration behind its creation: perfect for contrasting with the orange color of clay, or playing a happy tone-on-tone with the grass of a tennis court, the Aluminium Match Point Edition was designed with tennis fans in mind. But the charm of its casual elegance also works on a deserted Greek beach. That's just as well, because in the Marathon region, it's hot, really hot. And that's why it's so nice to wear a watch that's light, really light. With its 40mm case cut from aerospace-grade aluminum alloy, its green rubber bezel matching the color of the Velcro-secured rubber strap, this is the case with the Aluminium Match Point Edition. Whether on the tennis court or at the beach, its sporty look will win you over!

Few are the sights that appeal to my eye as much as the combination of dark green and white - it is pure visual bliss. You can’t fight me on this - it is just a law of nature. Water boils at 100°C, pineapple doesn’t belong on pizza, and dark green and white make the perfect pair. This explains why you can see me carrying a dark green bag and wearing white tennis shoes 95% of the time. So you can only imagine my excitement when I heard about the Bulgari Aluminum Match Point Edition! Powered by the Calibre B77, a 42-hour power reserve, and more importantly a white dial and green bezel, this self-winding 40mm aluminum timepiece checks all the boxes. Thanks to its lightweight and comfortable green rubber and Velcro strap, this charming and joyful model is the easiest thing to strap on your way to a quick game. For seasoned pros and beginners (such as myself) alike!
