Press release
Graffiti. Simple words and elaborate art. Social bulletins. Political messages. An exclusive genre of artistic expression. Hip hop. Breakdance. Territory markers. Revolution. Controversy. Reviled. Admired. Symbols: The Eiffel Tower. The Duomo di Milano. The streets of London.
Graffiti. Ancient. As old as the art of timekeeping itself. Urban guerilla art: line drawings and elaborate paintings, illicitly scribbled, scratched and sprayed. Walls and public places. The quintessential signature and symbol of city life.
Fast forward to the third millennium: London, Paris, Milan. Three trendsetting cities that resonate energy and dynamism through their distinctive cultures, lifestyles, art and fashion trends – the stylish few in the crowds that walk the streets – and the C2 GraffitiGrey Y-12 chronograph.

CONCORD puts an ear to the street, soaking up twenty-first century style on a guerilla graffiti circuit, launching the C2 GraffitiGrey. Monochromatic elegance. A tag in the world of contemporary watchmaking, for men and women on the fast track.
An exclusive design for 2012 and part of the C2 Y-12 editions, the C2 GraffitiGrey presents a new variation on its highly successful C1 predecessor's signature design, dressed up in a slightly smaller 43mm diameter black PVD-coated stainless steel case, with grey décor and a grey, black-stitched alligator strap complete with horizontal tubular attachments.

Water resistant to 100 meters/10 atm, the C2 GraffitiGrey features a 2mm smoked sapphire crystal, visible screws, and black PVD-treated stainless steel folding clasp with embossed CONCORD cover.
A mechanical self-winding ETA Caliber 2894-2, 37-jewel movement with a 42-hour power reserve, beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour powering date and chronograph functions. Clearly displayed on a black dial, black, semi-matte Super-LumiNova-enhanced hour-markers, and asymmetrically hollowed-out rhodium-grey dauphine hands with Super-LumiNova accents provide a striking visual reminder of its urban graffiti origins.
Become a knight. Walk the streets with the kings and queens. Burn the competition with The C2 GraffitiGrey. Get up from Paris, Milan and London.
Heaven spots.
Concord is delighted to have cooperated on this project with Graffiti Life, a collective of artists who decided to take the skills they learnt on the streets and showcase them to a wider audience. (see below). The result is a timepiece like no other that conveys the urban spirit in a uniquely contemporary way.
