Since its launch in 2005, Cvstos has followed its own aesthetic and contemporary path by creating technical and avant-garde timepieces. Cvstos embodies a modern watchmaking vision, combining technological innovation with avant-garde design. Its DNA is built on performance, lightness, and readability, with pieces designed for watch enthusiasts seeking boldness and exclusivity. With a focus on modern and daring design, the brand favors the tonneau (barrel) shape and highlights its watch complications, often revealed through skeletonized movements. This vision is the result of the meeting between its two co-founders, Sassoun Sirmakes and Antonio Terranova.

Sassoun Sirmakes is the son of Vartan Sirmakes, co-owner of the Franck Muller Watchland Group. At the age of 17, while still a student, Sassoun joined the watchmaking path paved by his father, where he honed his skills in developing the family’s gem-setting workshop.

Within the family business, he trained in watchmaking techniques and design and gained experience in business relations.
In 2004, at the age of 20, Sassoun Sirmakes met Antonio Terranova, a talented designer and passionate watchmaker. Born in 1967 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, and an engineer by training, Antonio has never left the world of watchmaking. His career has crossed paths with Cartier, Piaget, TAG Heuer, Breitling, and Zenith.

Now partners, the duo created the Cvstos brand and, in 2005, launched their first collection, which included a dual-time model, a chronograph, and a tourbillon.

In 2009, they moved into new premises in downtown Geneva, bringing together under one roof a boutique lounge-showroom, workshops, and management, where they develop collections and unique pieces with a modern and radical aesthetic.

Cvstos experiments with a wide range of materials and finishes, combining bold and innovative colors, from carbon to titanium, as well as gold and ceramic. The brand benefits from vertical integration through its manufacture and workshops in Geneva, ensuring complete control from design to final assembly.
