Launched in 2022, the Louis Vuitton Watch Prize initiative embodies the House’s spirit of audacity, savoir-faire, creativity, technical mastery, and innovation. Conceived in the LVMH tradition of celebrating talents and honoring visionary creators, the initiative is supported by La Fabrique du Temps Louis Vuitton.
Jean Arnault, Director of Watches at Louis Vuitton, said: “Building on the success of the inaugural Louis Vuitton Watch Prize, awarded in February 2024, we are excited to see how independent watchmakers will continue to shape new horizons in creativity and redefine the future of our industry.”

Composed of watch enthusiasts from all over the world, the 2025 Committee of Experts represents a diverse group, bringing together artisans, watchmaking industry representatives, journalists, collectors, and creatives who share the same passion for watchmaking.
The evaluation process for the applications will begin with a commission of international and independent experts who will pre-select twenty semi-finalists. Thereafter, the committee of experts will evaluate the twenty shortlisted candidates based on the following criteria: Design et Aesthetics, Creativity and boldness, Details and Finishings, Complexity and Complications and Technical Innovation to select five finalists.
Additionally, the experts will nominate five members of the final Jury from among its peers, who will have the mission of interviewing the five finalists on the day of the award ceremony and thus selecting the winner of this second edition.
The Louis Vuitton Watch Prize will culminate in a ceremony hosted in Paris in 2026. The winner will receive a grant of 150,000 euros as well as a year-long mentorship by La Fabrique du Temps and Louis Vuitton tailored to its needs. A dedicated team of experts will provide guidance and advice in areas including communication, copyright, marketing, industrial strategy, financial management and corporate legal aspects.
Registration for the Louis Vuitton Watch Prize will remain open through April 15th, 2025. For more information, please consult: www.louisvuittonwatchprize.com
