Considered as one of the most influential creator of contemporary Haute Horlogerie, Dominique Loiseau invents and manufactures exceptional timepieces since more than 30 years. His clients are important names from the watch industry and private collectors. His personal views regarding timekeepers and even time itself, reflected by his creations, were shaped from life experiences as well as intense, deeply complex philosophical standpoints developed during his studies. His approach to creating new works of horology reflects the complexity of this background. It is a universe where the gears, wheels, springs and escapements of the mechanical world are seen simultaneously as expressions of vastly complex and intertwined disciplines.
Appointed head of restoration at the Musée International d'Horlogerie of la Chaux-de-Fonds, later embarking on a large series of high profile mechanism and automatons restorations, he is the creator of the historical Renaissance and Capriccio pocket watches the Rose des Temps table clock, the six Montres des Sables and the Alpha-Omega automaton, as well as other masterpieces. Furthermore Dominique Loiseau signed the famed Blancpain 1735 wristwatch. With no doubt he is an authentic inventor who outstandingly masters all of watchmaking complications.

On his side Daniel Montandon was literally born in the Swiss watch industry, his family having written some of its most brilliant historical pages : Maurice Eberhard his grand-father was the owner of his own brand Eberhard&Co, his uncle André Heiniger has been for around 40 years the General Director and Board's representative of Montres Rolex S.A., Pierre-Alain Blum his distant cousin has been the owner and animator of Ebel at the time of its magnificence. And we cannot forget about his own father who, just after the war, was the representative of the Swiss Watch Federation in Southern America where he opened the very first watchmaking counters.
After a solid formation in management, followed by several years of practice, Daniel Montandon naturally joins the watch industry where he occupied different management and marketing positions. Then, for around 10 years he put his family business in brackets, dedicating himself to naval architecture in the realm of luxury yachting, his second passion. When he returns to watchmaking it is to establish his own company, since then devoted to the promotion of the most noble and traditional aspects of Swiss Haute Horlogerie. He became one of the pioneers of European Eastern countries, mainly Russia, where he introduced brands like: Blancpain, Corum, Daniel Roth, Girard Perregaux Jaeger-Lecoultre Richard Mille or Greubel Forsey and Jean Dunand for which he still is today the successful distributor in Spain and in the European Eastern countries.
One year only after their first meeting, at the occasion of Baselworld 2011, both men introduced the 1f4, a World Première wristwatch of extreme complexity, stamped with the signature of Dominique Loiseau. On the heels of this success they decide to create the brand ATELIER LOISEAU. This entity, unique in the watchmaking world by the fact that it makes all the parts for its movements entirely by hand, produces the 1f4 and develops other projects.
The next launching will be the one of MNS, a new concept of exclusive sport watches with complications, completely inspired and imagined by Daniel M. Montandon.
