The surface finish of these dials evokes the coldness that can prevail in the depths of the rock, making it the perfect backdrop for the hand-applied Roman numerals, crafted in solid gold and coated in blue to match the blued hands for the hours, minutes, and seconds. Completing this functional dial design, the panoramic date at 4 o’clock is a more recent tradition, introduced in many Glashütte Original watches since 1997. It provides a perfect balance to the piece, echoing the moonphase indicator positioned between 10 and 11 o’clock.
