The design of the MT1 is as radical as it is functional. The exposed crown is retractable, the lugs and angles sharper—this MT1 dispenses with any accessory deemed superfluous. It asserts itself with a round shape within a 44mm diameter case made of Grade 5 ELI (Extra Low Interstitials) titanium, a material that ensures lightness and durability while offering a satin-brushed circular finish, contrasted by polished chamfers. The crown is integrated into the back of the case to improve grip and overall balance. This construction contributes to what Kross Studio calls the "sensory experience" of the watch—its ergonomics ensuring optimal wrist comfort.
On the dial side, the skeletonized movement and all its gears are highlighted through an extremely meticulous interplay of materials and finishes. Around the perimeter, the black sandblasted opaline flange is enhanced with a white decal to improve readability while emphasizing depth. The angled bridges and base plate feature satin-brushed and perlage finishes, with stretched contours and polished angles. A gray anthracite ruthenium treatment adds contrast to the whole. The back of the watch is also richly decorated. The case back draws inspiration from the serenity of Japanese gardens, with a barrel bridge adorned with a "Raindrop" motif, imitating the ripples of a water droplet on a still surface—a poetic nod to the philosophy of time passing.

Sophisticated mechanics
As you might have guessed, everything is designed to highlight the movement of this MT1 Chronometer Tourbillon 7 Days. Skeletonized, tourbillon, COSC certification, and a 7-day power reserve—the new KS 7010 MT caliber, entirely conceived and manufactured in-house, embodies sophistication and horological excellence. For Marco Tedeschi, founder of Kross Studio, it was impossible to overlook a tourbillon, his favorite complication. Positioned at 6 o'clock, it performs its role within the dial, oscillating at a frequency of 3Hz. The brand pushes the limits of spatial optimization within its caliber by featuring an oversized barrel that occupies as much space as possible, eliminating the central pinion—an uncommon technical choice. The cherry on top: COSC certification, a guarantee of chronometric precision.
Betting on exclusivity
Priced at 68,000 CHF, the MT1 Chronometer Tourbillon 7 Days will be available in very limited quantities through Kross Studio’s exclusive distribution network. This deliberate positioning reflects the brand’s ambition to establish itself as a key player in independent haute horlogerie.
But Kross Studio’s ambitions do not stop there. The MT1, which marks the introduction of a new collection within the brand, is in the running for the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) and the Louis Vuitton Watch Prize—two distinctions that could definitively cement the young manufacture’s reputation.
