The winds of change are blowing gently through Carl F. Bucherer’s Manero collection with the venerable Lucerne watchmaker announcing new designs, fresh dial colours and alluring strap options for this stylish, versatile line.
Manero Peripheral
First in the line to feature reworked aesthetics is Carl F. Bucherer’s latest Manero Peripheral in 40mm.
The beauty of the Manero Peripheral is that its CFB A2050 manufacture calibre generates its power by a winding system on the outside of the movement. The absence of a traditional rotor allows for unfettered views of the mechanism through the transparent display back.
The freshened-up models boast dials with an embossed striped background, visually broken up by the concentrically-decorated small seconds at 6 o’clock, date window at 3 o’clock and outer minute track.
The dials – available in black, blue and silver – are smartly framed by a 40mm stainless-steel case which are paired with a stainless-steel bracelet or hybrid straps comprising a colour-matched rubber base and leather inlay.
The cherry on the cake is that each piece is certified as chronometer grade by COSC.

Manero Flyback
The slimmer wristed will want to take note here: There is a brand-new 40mm Manero Flyback automatic chronograph on the scene, with silvered sunray dial, stainless-steel case and matching grey vegan textile strap or a nine-link steel bracelet to complete what is a fine-looking monochromatic ensemble.
The new arrival in 40mm differs from its 43mm sibling in the Manero Flyback family by dispensing with sectoral markings on the dial.

Talking of which, C.F. Bucherer has announced a new dial colour for the 43mm Manero Flyback – deep blue – and it is paired with an 18k rose gold case and blue calfskin strap.
Other models in the 43mm Manero Flyback line have also been treated with fresh strap options, from smooth brown calfskin leather to chic and comfortable textile straps with a smart, tight weave, available in black, blue-grey and taupe, part of the brand’s drive to inject some retro-inspired aesthetics across this range.

Manero Urban
Finally, if this year’s Watches & Wonders revealed one industry trend, it was that colours that were once seen as a bit garish – the likes of purple, pink and citrus green – are now becoming de rigueur.
But let’s not forget that many of us are still looking for classic design cues: Sober layout, simple lines and muted tones. Manero Urban – C.F. Bucherer’s time and date tour de force – offers that in abundance, with its contoured 38mm stainless-steel case and sunbrushed dial bearing a striped, opaline finish.
Within the refreshed line, black, blue, mocca and sand-toned dials are blended with straps of various hues and materials: Recycled textile tide ocean material in black and blue, vegan leather in brown and sand, or a three-link steel bracelet. The resulting strap-dial combinations are all very easy on the eye as well as on the wrist.
