A Snake’s Embrace

The Corum Golden Bridge Classic Rose Gold Special Edition truly represents the mastery of watchmaking in the 21st century. The collaboration between the watchmakers who created the rare linear baguette movement and the artisans who created the “floating” snake – as the symbol of creative life force and transformation in the Chinese zodiac – results in a true piece of art that comfortably sits on your wrist.

Zenith Watch Review

In this video, we present Zenith’s collaborative timepieces with the Japanese bag maker Porter. Inspired by their vibrant colors and special textiles, Zenith has created two new models fit for every wrist and occasion. The new Pilot Automatic Porter and Pilot Big Date Flyback Porter models are definitely a team favorite here at Worldtempus, with their almost military-green dial, orange details, and sporty appeal. These two models are an absolute must for both sharp dressers and sports enthusiasts!

20th Anniversary Vacheron Constantin

The iconic and world-class Patrimony collection celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. Originating from the late 1950s, the minimalist yet sophisticated design of the Patrimony remains a timelessly elegant timepiece to this day. As the name ages through the decades, its original form has subtly evolved over the years. This year, the Patrimony reinvents itself as it enters its 20s. With a new champagne dial, new rose gold accents, and a smaller 39mm case, the Patrimony attracts a wider crowd with its fresh makeover.

Geneva Watch Days, Bulgari Dissonance

As Bulgari has been making chime complications for just over 30 years, they set themselves the challenge of creating something completely different this year with the help of Swiss conductor Lorenzo Viotti, who introduced the first-ever tritone chime to watchmaking. Bulgari implemented this innovative complication in three of its models: the Octo Roma Grande Sonnerie Tourbillon, the Octo Roma Carillon Tourbillon, and the Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater in carbon fiber. All three models possess the tritone chime complication which brings something quite disruptive to this classic complication.

Intern for a Day at Breguet

Learning the tips and tricks of master watchmakers and artisans is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, as our editor-in-chief Sophie Furley discovered when she went to Breguet to learn the art of angling. As the craft is passed down through generations, the methods and hard work remain very similar. Hand-beveling and polishing each movement component is a meticulous craft requiring countless hours of practice and years of acquired watchmaking knowledge. Since these methods are so precious and precise, master artisans take great care to teach the next generations of watchmakers over a period of 18 months, guaranteeing the art of watchmaking survives.

Hublot and Alan Roura Take to the High Seas

In this video, Sophie Furley joins Swiss sailor Alan Roura on his boat to learn about his upcoming Vendée Globe race (at the time of writing he was crossing the Southern Ocean, south of Australia). We also discover a brand new Hublot timepiece, the Big Bang Unico Sailing Team, which has been made for him to take on his adventure. This limited edition of 100 pieces comes in a 42mm carbon fiber case, just like Roura’s boat, and sports a black and yellow colorway. A keen eye will notice a Swiss flag at 9 o’clock, bearing “SUI 7”, the sail number identifying Roura’s IMOCA in ocean races.

The Chopard Treasure Hunt

Earlier in the year, the WorldTempus team packed their suitcases and headed to Scotland for a week of content creation. It was here that the team produced one of their favorite videos: The Chopard Treasure Hunt. The story starts with a letter and a quest. Follow our heroine as she delves into the intricate threads of time and the tapestry of memories and tries to find the treasure that was left years before. What can it possibly be? And will our heroine manage to find it? There is only one way to find out.
