Ming Liu
Watch journalist
The world of watchmaking fascinates me in many ways: craftsmanship, design, innovation and mechanics. Watchmaking is a collaborative and global industry, characteristics that resonate with me because they correspond to my own background: I was born in the United States, but spent the first 18 years of my life in New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Taipei and Beijing. As a freelance journalist who regularly contributes to international publications such as the Financial Times, the International New York Times, Vogue, Vanity Fair, QP and Hodinkee, the world of watchmaking attracts me because it is always evolving, but also because it is beautifully rooted in the past. There are always interesting and original stories to tell.
