Since its founding in 1892 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Hamilton has graced stages around the world—cinematic stages as well as military and aviation scenes—serving as the official supplier of modern heroes' exploits for over a century.

Precision, professionalism, and dedication: for over 130 years, Hamilton has met the needs of its time. This began with the early trains when the American railroad industry was stretching its first rails across the continent, synchronizing its trains using Hamilton clocks and railroad watches.

Far from slowing down during the two World Wars, Hamilton instead supported the heroic efforts of the time. First, by adapting its early pocket watches into wristwatches for American soldiers, thus contributing to the birth of the modern wristwatch. Later, by equipping aviators who, between 1942 and 1945, relied on the precision of over one million Hamilton watches specially produced for their use.

The 20th century seized upon these heroic stories to fuel the rise of a new industry—cinema—in which Hamilton naturally found its place. The first film featuring a Hamilton watch dates back to 1932, with over 500 following, including 2001: A Space Odyssey and Christopher Nolan's Interstellar. The list continues to grow as Hamilton remains committed to modern heroes, whether they are mountain rescue pilots or pioneers of sustainable aviation.
