A total of four new versions expand the Serenade Luna line, which was launched in 2024. Precious materials and strong colours
Despite their obvious similarities, each of these four wristwatches has a character all its own. The two Serenade Luna models in red gold cases, for example, are worn with a midnight blue alligator leather strap, which goes just as well with jeans as with a cashmere coat. Sparkling diamonds set on the bezel, indexes and crown lend these watches their confident glamour. As for the colour of the dial, two options are on offer: one model shimmers with white mother-of-pearl, the other in a deep blue with a refined sunray finish.
The other two novelties present fashionable bicolour visuals framed by a stainless steel case and red gold bezel. Although both watches feature a shimmering, iridescent white mother- of-pearl dial, in terms of style they each go their own way. The one model is set with diamonds on the bezel, indexes and crown, while an orange alligator leather strap offers a gentle contrast to these classic elements. The other version omits the diamonds on the bezel; only the indexes and crown are adorned with sparkling gems. Their feminine touch is perfectly complemented by a pink alligator leather strap.
The modern face of the moon
Common to all models is the exceptional moon phase display, positioned in a round dial window at 6 o’clock. The entire moon disc is fashioned of natural mother-of-pearl. Rather than the usual two moons, the display has four circular representations of a delicate, starry sky made of dark grey Tahiti mother-of-pearl. The moon takes different shapes, formed from the overlap with the moon window, which is accentuated by a slender, shining ring. The Serenade Luna’s moon phase display offers a highly precise representation of the lunar cycle, deviating by just one day and only after 122 years. It is adjusted directly via the crown by pulling it to the first position.
A new mechanical movement
The Serena Luna line is comprised exclusively of mechanical wristwatches that meet the highest standards of German watchmaking. Its Calibre 35 automatic movement with integrated moon phase has a running time of 60 hours. It is equipped with a silicon balance spring resistant to temperature fluctuations as well as magnetic fields and runs at a frequency of 4 Hz. Thanks to the sapphire crystal case back one can easily admire the movement and its elaborate decorative touches, which are executed by hand in the German manufactory’s workshops: the stripe finish on the Glashütte three-quarter plate, bevelled edges, the sunburst finish on the reduction gear, the rotor track’s refined pearl finish, the polished and blued screws, and the solid gold rotor plate’s fine shell pattern.
No matter which model is chosen, the Serenade Luna is made to give every outfit that certain something. The four new models will be available from May 2025 in all Glashütte Original Boutiques and from official retail partners worldwide.
