After pioneering beginnings, followed by a traditional period, Perrelet is now avant-garde – and has successfully fitted into the scene in each century.

Perrelet stands as a beacon of innovation in the realm of horology, boasting a rich heritage spanning nearly 250 years. Since its inception, Perrelet has been at the forefront of watchmaking, introducing groundbreaking inventions rooted in its DNA of audacity and precision. The pioneering spirit of its legendary founder, Abraham-Louis Perrelet, lives on through the brand's unwavering commitment to pushing the boundaries of timepiece development.

Abraham-Louis Perrelet's legacy is one of ingenious craftsmanship and visionary thinking. His seminal invention of the self-winding or automatic movement in 1777 revolutionized watchmaking, setting a standard that endures to this day. With subsequent innovations such as the first pedometer and watches featuring various escapements, Perrelet demonstrated an unparalleled mastery of his craft, cementing his status as one of history's greatest watchmaking figures.

Building on the foundations laid by Abraham-Louis Perrelet, the brand continues to evolve, introducing iconic collections such as the Turbine series, which embodies its innovative spirit. From the introduction of the double rotor caliber to the fusion of turbine aesthetics — two patented technologies combined with watchmaking complications — Perrelet constantly pushes boundaries and redefines the art of watchmaking. Indeed, Perrelet introduced its new in-house caliber, the P 331-MH, produced by its sister company Sordprod, in 2019. Not only is this caliber COSC- and Chronofiable-certified, but it is also a key component of most current Turbine collections. With each new creation, Perrelet reaffirms its commitment to excellence and its determination to perpetuate its prestigious watchmaking heritage.
