In 2013, CHRONEXT saw the potential of the pre-owned watch market, and set out to combine the best of online shopping with the best of brick-and-mortar retail. Philipp Mann and Ludwig Wurlitzer, its two founders, developed a unique model to facilitate the sale and purchase of watches by private individuals and third parties. Chronext.com was the platform that brought all the different elements together. A network of around a dozen physical stores completed the lineup, enabling customers to see the timepieces and try them on, and talk to a personal adviser.

Today, CHRONEXT covers most of central Europe, and has one lounge in Hong Kong. Over the last 10 years, users have flocked to the platform. Today, around 120,000 customers benefited from CHRONEXT’s expertise. The company is famous for its internal procedure designed to verify the authenticity and quality of every watch – a process comprising no fewer than 17 stages undertaken by its in-house watchmakers. This is what enables CHRONEXT to supply every one of its timepieces with a certificate of authenticity and a two-year warranty.
